I compete in the athletics field events of discus, shotput, javelin, and my favourite, hammer!  I compete at local, state & national competitions, representing Melbourne's Mornington in Peninsula.

Whist I specialize in throwing events, in the local comps (both junior & senior aths) I compete in all events inclusive of track.

I have been doing athletics since I was about 6 years  old, I started at Mornington Little Athletics Club, later moving to Frankston - for its throwing resources.

When u/12 I broke the club record in discus at Mornington and that is when I realised I had some potential.

Guidance from my junior club directed me towards a terrific coach for throws at Frankston.

I train down the track 3 times a week since the summer of 2005-2006, and it is really paying off. In late 2007 I picked up a hammer for the first time and within 3 months I had qualified for nationals.

In addition to 3 training sessions each week, I compete up to 3 times weekly, Vets, Little Aths & Senior Aths. I figure the more competition I get, the more I learn & the better I'll become.

I'm currently part of the 2008-2009 Victoria's Junior Development Squad & 2008-2009 AVIS squad.  The guys & gals at Athletics Vic are fabulous to work with & the coaches have great knowledge & experience.

I love competing & have made so many friends & buddies from not just all over Victoria, but World-wide.  I have met some people who will be my life long friends, these people are also one of my inspirations.

As of Oct 2008, in the Pacific School Games Vic trials, I placed in top 3 in my age group for the 4 throws. As such I earnt the opportunity to represent Victoria as part of for TeamVIC, in Discus, Shotput and Hammer (I missed Javelin by cms)for Pacfic School Games.
