The Newcastle Cobras were born in the winter of 2005.  Founding members Samuel Turner & Nicholas Brady originally created the club as an alturnitive to joining one of the other poorly managed teams.

Competing in the NSW Elite series for the first time in the 2005-2006 season, it was a rocky begining.
After finding their feet in the competetion the Cobras showed signs of brilliance, however keeping the same team on the court every game was their let down.

Finishing 5th from 5 was a disappointing outcome for the Cobras, but as the President Nicholas Brady aka King Cobra says "Its easy to improve on in the up coming season".

The Cobras are looking forward to the up coming elite series, which is set to be the best yet.  They feel confident their practice in the off season will help them to glory this season.
